Summary
The "Blue Angel" is a prominent label for environmentally friendly products in Germany. The Jury Ecolabel decides whether a proposal for a new specific product group is pursued and whether a catalog of appropriate award criteria is developed. In support of such a decision, the German Federal Environment Agency, as office of the Jury Ecolabel, entrusts a consortium of experts with the realisation of expertises.
Hydrotox has elaborated new award criteria for several new Blue Angel eco-labels for detergents and cleaning agents. With four new basic award criteria for Hand Dishwashing Detergents, All-Purpose Cleaners, Sanitary Cleaners and Glass Cleaners (RAL-UZ 194), Dishwasher detergents (RAL-UZ 201), Laundry detergents (RAL-UZ 202) and Shampoos, Shower Gels, Soaps and other so-called Rinse-off Cosmetics (RAL-UZ 203) the Blue Angel is now more strongly represented in everyday products.
